Introducing our Girl
We are very excited to introduce to you, Over The Bridge, a 3yo Bay Filly by Toronado and out of Waafiya. This is an exceptional opportunity to get into a filly with lots of potential. She was a trial winner at 2 before coming out and trialling as a 3yo when 3rd behind unbeaten Group winning Colt in Big Sky and Gr1 Blue Diamond winner Streisand. To say we were impressed was an understatement. She then put it all together on raceday at Bendigo taking a valuable maiden in very easy fashion. Mark Zahra requested to keep to ride after her trial win under him and it couldn't have been easier for him when she pulled clear, despite greenness, to prick her ears over the line and win cosily by 2 lengths.
Before her run Ciaron couldn’t have been more impressed, he stated
“She's a filly I've had my eye on for a while. By Toronado out of a Snitzel mare from a really strong family. She's done everything right in her trials and she's only going to get better with racing. I wanted her to be the first horse for Unbridled because I genuinely believe she's the type of filly that can give people a great experience. She's got the breeding, the attitude, and she's heading in the right direction.”

Built from Champions
Over The Bridge is a three-year-old bay filly by Toronado, the newly crowned Champion Victorian Sire for a second time. Toronado produced 167 individual winners this season alone, including seven stakes winners. His stud fee sits at $88,000, because the best sires don't come cheap. His Group 1 winners read like a highlights reel: Masked Crusader, Mariamia, Shelby Sixtysix, Victor The Winner, and the exciting three-year-old Tron Bolt, who took the Group 1 JJ Atkins at Eagle Farm and is now nominated for both the Cox Plate and the Golden Rose this spring. Toronado doesn't just produce winners. He produces stars.
On her mother's side, Over The Bridge is out of Waafiya, a Snitzel mare who won as a three-year-old over 1100 metres for Peter and Paul Snowden. Snitzel, Australia's five-time Champion Sire, who tragically passed in June 2025, is responsible for 175 stakes winners and 28 Group 1 winners, including six Group 1 winners in the 2025/26 season alone. His bloodline is racing royalty, and it runs through Over The Bridge.
Waafiya has already proven she can produce racehorses. Her first progeny to hit the track, High On The Hill, a half-sibling to Over The Bridge, is a dual winner who has been narrowly touched off at metro level, running close at both Flemington and Caulfield. He won a trial just last month and continues to improve. That's the dam doing her job.
And Ciaron clearly agrees. At the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Ciaron Maher and partners went back to this mare's family and purchased Waafiya's next foal for $600,000. When a trainer of Ciaron's calibre invests that kind of money in the next sibling, it tells you everything about how highly he rates this family.
Go one generation deeper and the quality only intensifies. Over The Bridge's second dam, You're So Good (NZ), was a Listed winner at Moonee Valley over 1600 metres and ran second in the Group 1 Australian Guineas, beaten just half a length. She was also multiple times Group 2 and Group 3 placed across her career, a genuinely high-class filly.
The wider family delivers at the highest level. Melito, a closely related filly, was the Champion three-year-old of her generation, winning two Group 1s including the TJ Smith Stakes and banking over $1.9 million in prize money. The stallion Pariah, also closely related, ran second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. This isn't a pedigree that hints at quality. It shouts it.
