The horse
Amazing Journey is by Starspangledbanner, who was an exceptional horse both in Australia and in Europe. As a sire, he has proven to be top class as well as supremely versatile, producing Gr1 winners from 1200m all the way to 2000m in the form of Cox Plate winner, State Of Rest. The sire is also off the back of arguably his best year at stud in having both the Gr1 Irish 2000 Guineas and Gr1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner in Gstaad and Precise. Only a few weeks ago did he add another Gr1 winner to his CV in Senorita Bonita over 1200m in the Prix Morny. Not only is the sire phenomonal but the dam, Kiss Me Daily also has a family of proven performers, none more so than Gr1 Epsom Handicap winner in He's Your Man, who is a half sibling to Kiss Me Daily. He's Your Man was imported from the UK, just like Amazing Journey and proved to be extremely successful.
Amazing Journey has so far raced 12 times, winning 5 races including 3 wins from 6 races this year. He is a Northern Hemisphere 3yo but a Southern Hemisphere 4yo which allowed us to compete in the 2026 $10m Gr1 Golden Eagle. Amazing Journey ran a credible race despite being wide with no cover throughout and hit line well. He covered the second most ground in the race, which proved the difficulty he had in running. The form of the Golden Eagle has historically proven to be strong and with Amazing Journey showing a great attitude to hit the line, he maintains his promise and upholds are aims of the big Group 1 days in the Autumn of 2027.

"'This is a high quality import, who has improved with every race. He was completely luckless in the Golden Eagle and maintains the promise he held coming over from the UK. He is sure to be targeting the Group 1 racedays in the Autumn. My data team identified an exceptional turn of pace especially in his run at Ascot where he saw off a good field. He reminds me of a certain Light Infantry Man and we hope he can live up to that comparison and compete in all the big races in Australia, having ran in the Group 1 Golden Eagle'"
