What is the Lifecare Fund?
Every micro-share purchase includes a contribution to the Unbridled Racing Lifecare Fund — our commitment to responsible ownership, for life.
A portion of every share sold is set aside for the horse it belongs to, building a dedicated fund that follows them through their racing career. When that horse retires, the fund is drawn on to cover their transition: rehoming into a trusted post-racing home, and any rehabilitation needed for injuries sustained along the way. If a horse's Lifecare Fund isn't fully used, we don't keep the difference, owners are refunded the surplus as withdrawable credit, free to use toward your next Unbridled experience or take out as cash. It's simple: you own the highs of race day, and we make sure the horse is looked after long after it's over.
Beyond The Track
Unbridled Racing works very closely with the Ciaron Maher Racing team in their mission to provide homes for all of our horses beyond the track. Naturally Unbridled members want to see their horses have a happy second life, finding a good home. CMR works closely with ‘Racing Hearts’, which is an organisation that offers retired racehorses a new lease on life through retraining and integration into equine-assisted therapy programs for humans. Finally, the Bloodstock Team also have an extensive rehoming register made up of breeders, current and former owners, and general supporters of the stable who have registered an interest in rehoming one of our retired racehorses.
Life After Racing
When a horse's racing career comes to an end, we work to find the best possible next chapter. Retired horses are assessed individually and matched with appropriate pathways, from equestrian sport and pleasure riding to breeding programs and paddock retirement.
We are very fortunate with the facilities that Ciaron Maher Racing has that we are able to provide paddock rest to horses who may have had injuries that caused them to be retired. This gives us ample time to assess each horse on what their next steps should be. We maintain communication and follow up to ensure the horse is thriving in their new environment. Our commitment doesn't end when the horse leaves the stable.

Interpretation

Now owned and ridden by Char Curwen.
Interpretation or 'Terps' is a three time Melbourne Cup runner who is by Champion and breed shaping stallion GALILEO. He danced every dance including winning a Bendigo Cup Gr3 and being beaten only 5 1/2 Lengths when 5th in the 2023 Melbourne Cup. He now partners Char in both dressage and jumping as well simply enjoying his retirement. He takes care of her as much as she does him.
Strawberry Rock
Gr3 winning stayer who had a 43 starts with 6 wins.
Retired to be trained as a showjumper by Sam Clipperton.
Strawberry Rock was a stable favourite who had an exceptional constitution to race a total of 43 times, winning 6 times including success in the Gr3 Hobart Cup. The now 10 year old is beginning his new life with Everest winning jockey Sam Clipperton, who is training him to become a showjumper. Having had a few skips over the hurdles when at Cranbourne, he should have no problem in adapting to this role and living a happy new life.

Buenos Noches will begin a new life as an eventer.
Buenos Noches was a fantastic racehorse who managed to do what many others couldn't and get within half a length of the mighty Imperatriz. He was also third in a coolmore when flying home late. He managed 22 starts and a well deserved retirement where he will become an eventer and compete ina. different jurisdiction than he is used to but one we know he will adapt to well.

Many of our owners stay connected with their horses well beyond racing, visiting them in their new homes and following their second careers. The bond you build with your horse doesn't have to end when they leave the track.
